The full name of the aquarium is the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium in Taiwan. It is said that the idea of the overnight stay activity originated from staff discovering that the marine life in the display tanks exhibit different behaviors at night compared to during the day. They wanted to share the nighttime appearance of the ocean with everyone, leading to the creation of the 'Overnight Stay at the Aquarium' event. Visitors can observe various marine creatures and have 'close' encounters with some, such as touching shark eggs. At night, they can sleep in the underwater tunnel or in the beluga whale and penguin exhibits, sharing the night with these creatures.
Deer Wonderland Sika Deer Ecological Park is known as the 'Little Nara of Kenting'. In the park, you can see many wild sika deer. Ruisui Ranch retains the traditional appearance of Taiwanese ranches and is a well-known cheese factory in eastern Taiwan. The origin of the ranch started from a joke by the landowner. The ranch was originally a sweet potato field, but after a typhoon destroyed the field, the landowner joked with a friend about raising cattle, which led to the establishment of Ruisui's dairy industry. Here, you can taste the highly acclaimed fresh milk buns with a rich milky aroma, as well as limited edition desserts like cheesecake, fresh cheese, and nougat. You can also feed calves and ostriches up close, making for endless fun.
Hualien Guangfu Sugar Factory, also known as Hualien Tourist Sugar Factory, was an important sugar factory in eastern Taiwan in the early days. It ceased operations in 2002 and transformed into a tourist sugar factory. Here, you can see Japanese-style wooden houses, taste sugar factory ice products, and Taiwanese specialty snacks. The sugar factory is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Huadong Valley, with many nearby attractions and activities, making it very suitable for family outings.
