It is an ancient fortress that combined military defense with the function of a royal temporary palace. The fortress walls stretch for several kilometers and are equipped with defensive facilities such as gates, beacon towers, and artillery posts, among which Paldalmun Gate and Hwaseomun Gate are important city gates.
