Gardens by the Bay is composed of three waterfront gardens with distinct styles: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden, and Bay Central Garden. Covering an area of 101 hectares, it is located in the prime waterfront area of Marina Bay and is a significant representation of Singapore's transition from a 'Garden City' to a global 'City in a Garden.'
The Supertrees are the iconic feature of Gardens by the Bay, with heights ranging from 25 meters to 50 meters. There are 18 giant tree-like structures that act as vertical gardens, covered with tropical flowering climbers, epiphytic plants, and ferns. They also incorporate eco-friendly features, with photovoltaic cells on the canopies to harness solar energy and convert it into electricity to power the garden's lighting and other facilities. At night, the Supertrees' light show is a major attraction for visitors.
The Flower Dome is a large glass conservatory in Gardens by the Bay that simulates the Mediterranean climate and is one of the largest of its kind in the world. It houses a variety of plants from five continents, including many rare species and flowers. Inside the Flower Dome, there is also the Michelin-starred restaurant Marguerite, providing a gourmet experience for visitors.
The Cloud Forest is another large conservatory in Gardens by the Bay, featuring the world's tallest indoor waterfall and creating a unique misty atmosphere. It showcases a vast collection of tropical highland plants, making visitors feel as if they were in a mystical cloud forest.
The Children’s Garden is a specially designed area within Gardens by the Bay for children. It includes a water play area, treehouses, and playgrounds, making it a lively paradise for kids and adding fun for family outings.
Satay by the Bay is a dining area near Gardens by the Bay that offers local delicacies, making it a great place for visitors to enjoy Singaporean cuisine.
