I took the Road trip ferry to see the Giants Causeway. I bought a car for two people and returned the same day from the Stena ferry port in Caernarfon to Belfast. The ferry journey took two hours and was very convenient. I remember the price was 159 pounds, which I bought in advance on the Stena website. P&O ferries also have them, but they are more expensive.
