Sure, time-wise it should be enough, but it seems that the latest visiting time for the Hobbit Village is around 2:00 pm! So plan your time accordingly!

All the information I searched online said Auckland to Waitomo was only 2.5 hours and 197km. How could it take 4 hours?

Auckland to Waitomo is a 4 hour drive one way, 2.5 hours to play, or just 45 minutes to see the glowworm caves, adding Hobbiton is a stretch
