Austria needs to buy, Switzerland does too, Italy is toll booth style, Germany is free. Austria is a 10-day expressway ticket, Switzerland is a year, but a year ticket can be transferred. I just came back from a Road trip in Europe. If you need a year ticket, I can sell it to you at a low price. If you have any Road trip questions, feel free to ask me.

Inform the car rental company whether to pay. The regulations of different car rental companies are different. In principle, vehicles are free to travel in the Schengen Area and there is no border fee. No one can completely understand the reason for the car rental company's charging.

You must tell the car rental company that a few years ago, I specifically said I couldn't go to Italy at the time when I rented a car at the Budget car rental shop in Munich.

If you need to pass through, you must communicate with the car company in advance and inform them where you are going.
