Renting a car is very convenient, suitable for friends traveling in groups of two or more. To be honest, Thailand is very hot. Taking a tuk-tuk or taxi a few times is okay, but if you do it too often, it's really uncomfortable. Parking in Thailand is not a problem, and the parking fees are not expensive. It's much more comfortable to drive yourself.
