It's cheap. You can't even spend 1000 baht running two points. The normal starting price for a taxi is 35 baht. It's better to bring more money when you go out. You can buy a mobile phone in Thailand for 300 baht and top up 500 baht to make calls back home every day. If you don't use it up, you still have data to use.
