Stop at roadside parking lot
In France, cars can only park in white parking spaces. Parking spaces marked "Payant" are paid parking spaces, with a fee of about 2 euros per hour, while those without any markings are free parking spaces. Parking spaces marked yellow are only for special vehicles, while parking spaces marked with "GIC-GIG" and other markings are only for people with permits. Generally, parking illegally will result in a fine of 35 euros.
In the city, besides roadside parking, there are also many underground parking lots. Roadside parking requires a little parking skill because the roads are narrow and the cars are generally small, leaving little room for parking. The turning angles in underground parking lots also require good eyesight. Basically, all of them are self-service payment.
