I went to Yellowstone first because I heard that many scenic spots in Yellowstone would be closed in mid-October, and there might be snow and roadblocks.

You should visit Banff first and then Yellowstone, otherwise it will get colder and colder to the north and the road conditions will be affected. Highway 15.
