I rented a car from Sixt at Chicago airport on the 17th. When I rented it, I saw that the mileage was unlimited, but I just saw some information that said their cars couldn't be driven across states? Is that true ?

There are restricted areas, some states are not allowed to go, which should be related to insurance.
I used the car from Sit in April. Their range is limited, and you can go to any state adjacent to Illinois. If you go to other states, you will have to be prepared to bleed money. There is a positioning device on the car, and the fee is calculated based on the distance driven.
I rented a car from SIXT in Florida, and after returning, I read the English version of the rental manual, which stated that long-distance travel across states was not allowed at will.
All the cars in the car park are unlimited mileage
