Petrol stations all have air compressors which cost 50p and can measure tyre pressure. If the pressure drops after you have inflated the tyres it could be that you have a puncture. We kept the tyres at the same pressure and didn't get a warning until we returned the car.

I rented an Audi Q5, and there's no problem going from Manchester to the Lake District. After arriving in Edinburgh, it prompted that the tire pressure was low, but I ignored it. Then I went to the Highlands and Isle of Skye, and finally returned the car to Glasgow. When I returned the car, the garage said they would inspect the tires.
