What does "run on the toll road when there is traffic jam" mean? Are there several toll channels on the normal road? Will you be charged if you run on those channels, and will you not be charged if you walk on the side roads ?

If you run off-peak, the toll or no toll is basically the same speed. The toll is more during the stretch from Orlando to Palm Beach to the first intersection, of course. There are also a few toll sections when you enter Miami to South Beach. When you come back from Key West, I suggest you come back via the Big Cypress National Preserve, go around the west side, the scenery is good, the alligators are much more than the Everglades Park, and the Flying Grass is cheaper... Anyway, I personally like to turn around this way.
