Hello everyone, yesterday I went to pick up a car. I rented an Audi A4 station wagon. The car rental shop kept asking me to upgrade to an off-road vehicle, the X5, saying that the road conditions in the Scottish Highlands were poor and that the A4 had too low of a chassis. I didn't take their advice. Can any friends who have driven in Scotland tell me, what are the road conditions like, and is an off-road vehicle absolutely necessary? We're leaving tomorrow, thank you ?

Sedan is fine, we drove a Mercedes-Benz 220 smoothly throughout.
Why not upgrade for free?
We can drive our A3 small coupe to highlands and Skye Island. The road conditions are very good.
Marketing skills, don't need to care. Mini can also be driven.
The road condition is fine. I didn't feel anything special driving the Golf. The only thing you need to worry about is the issue of overtaking large vehicles and recreational vehicles coming from the opposite direction.
Sedans are more than enough.
Not necessary, the road is in good condition.
