Do New Zealand supermarkets charge fees for using credit cards for accommodation and meals? Is it more convenient to use cash or cards ?

Using credit cards will incur fees. It's up to you whether to use cash or a card.

Visa or MasterCard do not charge fees.

Generally, stores owned by Chinese people charge service fees when using cards, which is the same all over the world. Why? Because it's convenient to evade taxes when accepting cash!

Chinese restaurants and supermarkets, including health food stores, mainly accept cash or local debit cards. I haven't seen any fees when using a credit card. Other places generally accept credit cards.
