Could you please tell me if it would be more secure to rent two cars to drive from London to the Scottish Highlands? I heard that there are many roundabouts in the UK, and it would be difficult to turn around if we got lost ?

There are many roundabouts in the UK. Remember one thing: all roundabouts enter counterclockwise, and remember which exit to take. It's usually not wrong, and the Highlands are almost always single-lane, with many bends, and few people overtake, so just keep up and you won't get lost. Additionally, some places in the Highlands have no mobile phone signal, especially around Skye. It's recommended to download the Tandem offline map and navigation app. Google Maps won't work if your phone has no signal there.
