Add a driver with a credit card, just a little more expense

You cannot, it must be the main driver. If there is no main driver, you can switch and register someone with a credit card as the main driver, and then your current driver can be registered as an additional driver.

No, the renter must have a credit card in their own name with sufficient foreign currency credit or a chip-enabled debit card for overseas settlement.
