I found that the first flight from Nanjing to Melbourne with a transfer in Hong Kong is delayed recently. What should I do ?

If your ticket is a connecting ticket with the same airline and you check in at the same time to get your boarding pass, you don't need to worry because the next flight will wait for you. However, if you buy tickets from different airlines, you will have trouble. So it's better to buy a connecting ticket from the same company for insurance. I have done this with Thai Airways via Bangkok and Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur to Beijing and it was fine, I didn't need to collect my checked luggage and just went straight on the next flight. The time is too tight, if it's not a connecting flight, even if the flight is not delayed, after collecting your luggage, finding the counter to check in and collect your boarding pass, you can only wish you good luck!
