I can handle the simple submission of documents in the country, but I don't think it's very useful. What I meant was, do I need a Hong Kong driver's license if I don't rent a car in Brisbane and just drive my friend's car? Is the International Driving Document only valid for rental cars, or can it be used for private cars? Do I need a Hong Kong driver's license. I'm going to Brisbane at the end of June for 10 days, and I'm not familiar with driving and riding ?

No problem to drive a private car. The difference is that when there is a problem, you go directly to the owner of the car, not through the car dealership.
