The road conditions are good, just keep going along Highway 1, there are not many mountain roads, but it's quite tiring. Let's focus on driving and try to avoid driving at night. There shouldn't be any major issues in October, even if it snows, there won't be heavy snowfall in October. This route also won't have any snow accumulation.

Google's calculation of time is still very accurate, you should believe it. But it is indeed very hard to drive for 7-8 hours a day. I didn't drive the entire Route 1 when I went to Snæfellsnes, but instead drove a lot of coastal roads and enjoyed the scenery.
