Hello everyone. I'm planning to go to the Golden Circle by car. Is it about an hour's drive from the capital to Pingvellir? How long does it take to drive to Geyser and Gullfoss? A friend of mine went to these three places on a tour, then went back to the city center and went to the hot springs again... I feel that the drive is not very far. But now I find that there are suggestions to spend a day at these three scenic spots. I originally planned to go to the hot springs at 4 o'clock in the afternoon... Is it too tight ?

It's a tight schedule. It's about a 1.5-hour drive from Reykjavik to Gullfoss and Geysir. Then you definitely have to go see the glaciers, and it will be a little tight to get back to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. However, Blue Lagoon allows latecomers to enter first and does not require queuing.

It takes one and a half hours to get back to Reykjavik from the Golden Waterfall, and about 40 minutes to get to the Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik. It takes an hour to get to the National Park from Reykjavik, and another half an hour to get to the Geysir, and then another ten minutes to get to the Golden Waterfall. So if you calculate the round trip, you will spend at least four to five hours driving, not including the time for visiting and eating. Iceland doesn't get light until 9:30, so you can estimate for yourself.
