This is Dubrovnik card, used for attractions, museums and public transportation in the city. It has nothing to do with Road trip across the border. When driving across the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, you need to tell the car rental company in advance (when picking up the car). The car rental company may charge extra fees, and there are several green papers in the vehicle registration certificate and other documents, which should be shown when crossing the border. I only showed my passport when I drove from Dubrovnik to Montenegro yesterday.
