I'm renting a car right now. When I got the car, I didn't even look at the translation document and gave it to me. There are no traffic police on the streets in Taiwan. Parking for an hour costs 10 RMB, which is slightly expensive, but the gasoline is very cheap. 95 is currently 27-28 New Taiwan dollars. Anyway, I think renting a car is fine, otherwise the cost of public transportation will not be less. If you don't rent a car and take a taxi, it's cheaper than renting a car.
