I have a converter, but I don't know if one is enough for both Germany and Switzerland. Do I need to buy a separate one for Switzerland? Can't I plug two prongs into a three-prong outlet ?

I just came back. Germany and Switzerland use the same adapter.

Switzerland and Germany are indeed different, but the difference is small. A well-designed two-pronged European standard plug can be used universally, except for the position of the earth wire. The positions of the two ends are consistent, but the Swiss plug is a little thinner and a regular European standard plug cannot be inserted.

basically universal, German is usually two-pronged, Swiss is three-pronged, but German two-pronged can also be used.
