After getting off the plane, follow the signs to the arrival hall, queue to submit documents, collect the plate, wait for the call, collect the passport, and it's ok. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes and it's quite smooth. Just be careful that someone in front of you may not have filled out the documents properly, causing a delay at the window, so it's better to fill out the documents in advance. After signing, take a few steps to the baggage claim area, where the luggage has already arrived and can be found without waiting. After collecting the luggage, take a few more steps and you will find a row of car rental service counters along the corridor. Go to the rental counter, report your name to the receptionist, find the rental record, and the receptionist will arrange for a driver to shuttle us to the rental company's parking lot, which is less than a 5-minute drive within the airport. There, complete the car rental procedures, fill out forms, make copies of passport and driver's license translations, confirm email, make a credit card copy, and authorize 10,000 baht. Check the appearance and fuel gauge of the vehicle, and if there are no problems, you can depart. Of course, before departing, you should first locate the pick-up location on a map app and save it, so it's easy to find when returning the car.

On the fourth day, we went to Ayutthaya, about 80 kilometers away. We felt a bit sleepy on the way and discovered that Thailand also has music stations, such as FM103.5, where we listened to some Thai songs. Our first stop in Ayutthaya was the floating market, where we paid 200 baht per person for a boat ride. However, it wasn't very interesting as there weren't many people and the vendors were all in their shops instead of on the river. We also passed by the Elephant Valley, where you can ride elephants, but we decided not to go in. We then had lunch at an MK hot pot restaurant and later visited the historical park. We also stopped by some temples and saw local Chinese people celebrating with parades and performances. The ancient ruins in Ayutthaya were beautiful and not too crowded, making it worth spending a day exploring. We also visited the Chaiwatthanaram Temple before heading back to the hotel. It was a long and eventful day.

The third day's itinerary includes the Grand Palace, the Jade Buddha Temple, the Reclining Buddha Temple, and the riverside night market. The day started with a surprise breakfast of seafood porridge, followed by a visit to the Grand Palace and the Jade Buddha Temple. Afterward, the group took a boat to the Reclining Buddha Temple and enjoyed a late lunch at a riverside restaurant. The day ended with a visit to the night market and a cultural show.

The fifth day's itinerary was quite relaxed, and basically all the places in Bangkok that could be visited were visited. In the morning, we discussed where to go and reached an agreement with our companions. We wanted to see if we could check out a day early and visit the Fifth Reign Palace and the Parliament House in the morning, then spend the night in Pattaya in the afternoon, go to the beach, and book a catamaran for snorkeling on Taobao. Breakfast was in a pleasant atmosphere, but when we asked at the front desk, they said it was not possible to check out early without a refund, so we decided not to go. At the same time, we checked Taobao and asked several merchants, but the catamarans were all fully booked, so even if we went, we wouldn't be able to experience snorkeling properly. So we gave up. We drove to the Fifth Reign Palace, passing by the Parliament House, where parking was difficult, but at the palace, there was an internal parking lot, which was very convenient. After parking, we took out the joint ticket for the Grand Palace, so we didn't need to buy another ticket, which would have cost 100 baht. The ticket check also included a check of our clothing to see if it met the requirements. After entering, there was a room for storing bags, and we were not allowed to bring our phones or cameras. Then we went to the entrance, changed our shoes on the first floor, and then lined up for security checks. Inside, the air conditioning was very strong, and this was the palace of King Rama V. There was no explanation, so we quickly finished our visit. After coming out, we walked slowly along a small path and arrived at the Parliament House. We passed by a very beautiful glass house, which we didn't notice at first, and we wondered why there were no tickets being sold. It turned out that we had to go there to exchange our tickets. We went back to exchange our tickets and store our bags (a single ticket cost 150 baht). The tour was nice, and at the entrance, someone asked us where we were from and gave us an audio guide in different languages. We entered the number we wanted to listen to and played it, just like using a phone, putting the earpiece to our ear to hear the explanation. The interior of the Parliament House was very beautiful, similar to the style of the United States Capitol in Washington. It was only about 2 o'clock when we came out, and we weren't hungry, so our day's itinerary was over. We had originally planned to go shopping at Central World, but it was still early, and we were a bit tired, so we decided to go back to the hotel to rest. We encountered a traffic jam on the way back, and it was very congested. When we got back to the hotel, our companions suggested going for a swim, which was a good idea. We changed into our swimsuits, put on our robes, and set off. The hotel's swimming pool was on the third floor, and there was basically no one in charge. We could open the door with our room card. Although it was very hot outside, the water temperature was not high. It took a lot of effort to get into the water, but once we did, it was fine. It had been a long time since I had gone swimming. After swimming for a while, we came up to sunbathe. After drying off, we went back to our room, took a quick shower, and went out to eat and shop. Before we left, we spent some time researching whether we should go on a day trip to the islands tomorrow, but we didn't come to a conclusion. For dinner, we went to a Thai restaurant on the lower level of Siam Paragon. The restaurant was crowded, and we had to wait for a table, but the food was served too slowly, which made everyone's mood not very good. We walked around the mall, but there was nothing we wanted to buy, so we decided to go to the supermarket. Since it wasn't the season for ripe durian, we didn't see any large durians, only packaged ones wrapped in plastic wrap. We were very skeptical about whether they were produced in Thailand. Perhaps because of swimming, I felt heavy and tired, and I didn't feel like going anywhere. I checked the route for the island tour, and I didn't want to get up early or drive more than 300 kilometers in a day. It was too tiring, so I decided not to go to the beach. Tomorrow, with nothing to do, I'll just sleep in and relax. It's definitely a vacation rhythm, not a tourist one. The fifth day is over.
