I rent a car in Rome and drive to Florence. I plan to find a parking lot and park it for three days, and then drive to Venice. Is this okay ?

You can park your car for free near the Michelangelo Square, and then stay in the old town or nearby, which is more convenient than staying outside the city. Don't put anything in the car.

Sure, you can park in a public parking lot near a subway station. It's free and you can park for a few days.
