Think of the still sleeping Pearl Harbor, the Japanese are still quite ruthless

In the morning at 6 o'clock, after going through the check-in, checking in luggage, security check, and customs procedures, when I arrived at the boarding gate, the announcement said that we were still waiting for the notification from Beijing Airport, and the departure time would be after 12 o'clock. Before going through customs, there was a 7-11, where I had a delicious rice ball for breakfast. The flight continued to be delayed, and Japan Airlines once again provided meal vouchers. After a 19-hour delay, I finally returned to my warm home in Beijing. (End of the full text)

The sky was getting dark, and our reservation at Mama's fish house in the town of Paia was for 7:30 (when we booked in China, there were only seats available at 8:30, so luckily we called ahead and got the 7:30 reservation). So we wandered around the town of Paia. When it was almost time for Mama's fish house, it was already pitch black, we should have come earlier to play on the beach here. There were many photos of celebrities visiting. The lobster soup was very good. Appetizer: beef, very tender. Signature dish: Mahimahi Stuffed with lobster & crab, the lobster flavor was very strong, indeed delicious. The first day on Maui ended, and we had to meet at the pier at 6:15 am tomorrow to join the Molokini & Turtle Arches Snorkel tour.

The tour includes a breakfast, and the restaurant environment facing the golf course is really nice! From the dormant active volcano at an altitude of over 3000 meters with a temperature close to 0 degrees, back to the summer seaside, this is the unique charm of Maui.

Perfect sunset! Leaving the winding road section while it's not completely dark, returning to Kihei for dinner. Found this Coconuts Fish Cafe restaurant recommended by someone, only then did I realize that Kihei also has such a large shopping center! Address: 1279 S Kihei Rd. The shrimp cakes are good. Restaurants in Hawaii generally have chopsticks! The guide introduced that their fish taco is the best in the United States, with 17 kinds of condiments inside, and it tastes best when eaten with hands. However, it's a bit difficult to eat and the taste is just average. But the price is very cheap, so there is always a long line. Tomorrow's itinerary is to go to Haleakala National Park to watch the sunrise. The tour company will pick us up at the hotel at 3:15 in the morning, isn't that a bit too intense?

Continue forward and see several cars parked on the side of the road, so stop to take a look. It's the Waikamoi Nature Trail (0.5 miles ahead of the 9-mile marker). The introduction about the rainbow eucalyptus tree found online says it's here, but after walking for a while, it's just a normal forest and we didn't find a larger area of rainbow eucalyptus trees. Considering time and energy, we turned back.Kaumahina State Wayside Park (0.2 miles ahead of the 12-mile marker) is the first place on the Hana Highway that really catches the eye, with a refreshing blue.Looking out at the Ke‘anae PeninsulaSuch a great picnic spot can't be missed, with a sea breeze and enjoying a prepared lunch under the big trees. After lunch, we continued on. The next attraction we wanted to visit was the Ke‘anae Peninsula (17 miles), but we didn't find any obvious signs or parking lots. As we kept driving, we realized we had already passed the halfway point of Hana, and there was no suitable place to turn around, so we continued. We saw the Three Bears Falls on the side of the road (0.25 miles ahead of the 19-mile marker), but there were only a few parking spaces and they were all full. It didn't seem like a very large waterfall, so we didn't stop. The road ahead became increasingly difficult, with obvious ascents and it felt like we were driving into the mountains, with one turn after another, surrounded by dense forests and no view of the sea. There were also one-lane bridges/sections one after another, and some of the one-lane sections were long bends where you couldn't see if there were any cars coming from the other direction, which would be troublesome if we met a car. There were also road construction areas, and to make matters worse, it started raining, and from a light drizzle it instantly turned into a downpour. At that point, we felt uneasy and decided to turn back at the first place where we could turn around. So this time, the challenge of the Hana Highway went as far as 24 miles, leaving something to look forward to next time.It seems that the weather in the mountains really changes a lot. After turning back, the rain got smaller and the road ahead was dry, as if it only rained on the mountain. On the way back, we searched more carefully and found a small road on the right leading to the peninsula, which turned out to be the quaint village where the locals live as mentioned in the guide. The Ke‘anae Protestant Church, built in 1860But we didn't find a road to the beach from this village, so we returned to the Hana Highway. This time, we took a break at halfway to Hana. The famous banana bread really tastes good.

Haleakala “Whether watching the sunrise or reaching the summit at noon, don't forget to come here. It doesn't count as visiting Maui without visiting Haleakala National Park, at least—not touching the soul of Maui unless you climb to the top of this awe-inspiring mountain.” Located in the eastern region of Maui, Haleakala is recognized as the world's largest dormant volcano (the last eruption occurred in 1790). With an elevation of 3055 meters, the distance from sea level to the peak is less than 60 kilometers, making it one of the fastest roads in the world to ascend in elevation over a short distance. Haleakala National Park is where the astronauts of the "Apollo" lunar module once trained, as it is the closest place on Earth to the lunar surface environment. "Haleakala" means "House of the Sun" in the local language. Since watching the sunrise at Haleakala is a MUST DO in MAUI, just go for it! Due to a lack of confidence in driving skills, the author chose to join a tour for the Haleakala sunrise. I recommend the website "Iqu.com" for booking local tours, as it eliminates the hassle of logging into foreign websites and does not add extra charges! Choosing to stay in KIHEI is also because it is the latest pick-up point for the Haleakala sunrise tour (3:05 am), while leaving from Lahaina is 2 am. Luckily, the hotel has 24-hour front desk service. When the bus did not arrive as expected, the author asked the hotel staff, who explained that delays of 10-15 minutes are normal when picking up guests at each hotel. Indeed, around 3:20 am, the bus finally arrived. The extremely passionate female driver and tour guide (a native of MAUI) almost never stopped explaining various things throughout the 7-hour journey, showing her strong love for her homeland! Through her introductions, the author learned a lot of information and stories about Hawaii and MAUI that are not commonly found in guidebooks, so occasionally joining a local tour during a self-guided trip is also a great idea. She is the only female driver for the tour company, driving a large vehicle at night on cliffside roads without guardrails, showcasing excellent driving skills! “We slowly advance towards the mountaintop along the mountain road. That stretch of road feels strange: sometimes we enter the clouds, sometimes we turn into another world. Many sharp turns feel like we're about to fall off the cliff or get thrown off this rugged curve, but luckily we return to the right path after each turn.” This is a description from a Road tripist online. Arriving at the summit around 5 am with temperatures close to zero degrees, it was really thoughtful to have hot drinks provided in the car! The sunrise was around 5:30 am, and the railing was already crowded with people. If you want to find a good angle for photography, you'll have to stand here for half an hour! Fortunately, we were well prepared with down jackets and hand warmers. Many tourists were equipped with towels, bedsheets, and other gear. You can see the volcanic crater in the basin—does it look like the moon?

Diamond Head Crater The last stop of this trip to Hawaii: Diamond Head Crater. Diamond Head Mountain is known as the symbol of Hawaii, it is a dormant volcano. It is said that Captain Cook, the first person to discover the Hawaiian Islands, saw the entire mountain emitting blue light at night, shining like a sapphire, and thought he had found diamonds, so he named it Diamond Head. Although the weather was not good today and the photo effect was not good, it was still very impressive to climb to the highest point of the volcano along the path from the hinterland of the crater! Therefore, climbing Diamond Head is also a must-do on Oahu Island! Overlooking the panoramic view of Waikiki Unfortunately, there is no wide-angle lens to capture the full view of the crater At Diamond Head, it rained intermittently, and although we were basically soaked when we returned to the car with an umbrella, the weather on Oahu Island is really not commendable The 7-day trip to Hawaii is coming to an end, time flies! Continue shopping at night! The return journey is still a transfer in Tokyo. Who would have thought that the heavy snow that had been forecasted for a long time in Beijing would happen to fall on the day we returned to Beijing. The 18:30 flight was rescheduled to 21:00, and Japan Airlines provided meal vouchers, so we had ramen. Back at the boarding gate, after a long wait, we received the notice that the flight could not take off tonight, and Narita International Airport's international terminal is closed at night. We need to retrieve all checked baggage, go through customs, and check in again at 7 am tomorrow. And, and, only sleeping bags!! The Tokyo adventure! First, find compatriots with favorable terrain.. This is our bed..

The observatory on the mountaintop. On the other side of the mountain, on the other side of the sea... Guess how this 'jump into the sea of clouds' was taken? The photo above is from this lovely and dedicated tour guide, who lay on the ground to take pictures of everyone in the car one by one! 'The Hareakala volcano has created the topography of the eastern part of Maui Island. Under the dual action of volcano and river erosion, a basin 12 kilometers long, 4 kilometers wide, and 910 meters deep was formed. There are many volcanic landform features scattered in the basin, such as more than ten conical volcanic vents.' Although I saw the sunrise today, unfortunately the fog was too thick, and I didn't see the volcanic vent so clearly, so I could only take a picture of the on-site guide map.

Molokini Island has an area of about 90,000 square meters, with a 4000-meter sea area between Molokini Island, and is one of the world's most famous diving/snorkeling sites. There are about 250 kinds of marine fish/biota around the reef, and the sea water is clear with a visibility of about 50 meters. The best time for snorkeling is in the morning. For the first time in Maui, it is inevitable to visit the famous attractions, and the cost is getting up early. Based on the recommendation of 'Hawaii Travel Network Zhang Jian', I booked the Molokini & Turtle Arches Snorkel tour of Maui's largest cruise company, Pacific Whale Foundation. The gathering time is 6:15, and the location is Ma'alaea Harbor. This is also the reason why the accommodation is chosen in Kihei, which is relatively close to Ma'alaea Harbor and Haleakala, which we will visit tomorrow. Snorkeling booking website: http://www.pacificwhale.org/content/molokini-turtle-arches-snorkel. Let's take a look at the overall view of Molokini with a picture from Zhang Jian, which looks like a crescent moon. Although the navigation indicates that it is only a 20-minute drive from the hotel to the port, the road is unfamiliar, and it is night time. The gathering time is 6:15, so we left the hotel at 5:30. Pacific Whale Foundation is located at Maui Ocean Center, with a large dedicated parking lot at the entrance. When we arrived, the door was not open yet, but we were comforted to see a group of people who arrived earlier than us, and we greeted each other with 'too early'. Actually, 6:15 is just the start time for gathering, and the departure is at 7:00 (everyone needs to sign an agreement, which takes some time). Later, one group of tourists after another arrived, and we were obedient good kids. It was still a bit cold by the sea in the morning, and my husband didn't wear a coat, so he had to wrap himself in a large towel. Fortunately, Pacific Whale Foundation provided hot chocolate and coffee. Early arriving guests could wait inside and enjoy hot drinks. The leader girl was very enthusiastic and humorous, although she was talking about precautions, the tourists were still very happy. The ability of foreigners to speak is really impressive. Finally, we can board the ship! Sailing away from the harbor with the sunrise. Maui mainly relies on wind power generation, which is very clear from the sea. After the boat started, breakfast was provided. It was thoughtful that guests didn't have to run up and down to get breakfast while the boat was moving, but the crew handed out breakfast to each guest. It didn't take long to arrive at Molokini, and we were ready for snorkeling. The crew first jumped into the sea to secure the boat. The snorkeling facilities on the boat are very complete, and the long 'noodle' is very useful.

Moving forward, it's the town of Kailua - Obama's hometown, and the Lanikai Beach, which was rated as the second most beautiful beach in Hawaii by foreigners, is right there. But we had booked a Luau dinner for tonight, with pick-up at the hotel at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. However, when we left the hotel in the morning, we saw that the opposite lane was as congested as yesterday, so we had to tour around and return home, continuing tomorrow. Unexpectedly, the return journey was smooth, and we were back at the hotel before 3 o'clock. While resting at the hotel, we noticed that it had started to drizzle outside. Luau is a special Hawaiian-style beach barbecue buffet dinner + performance show. A friend recommended Paradise Cove on Oahu Island, so we had booked today's luau trip in advance from China. When the appointed time had passed by 10 minutes, we finally saw the tour bus, only to have the staff jump off and say that the luau was canceled today due to the weather! Just a little rain... I cried!!! I had to turn my sorrow into appetite, since the luau was not happening, so we decided to go shopping and eat in the bustling Waikiki! Without realizing it, we ended up at the famous Cheesecake Factory, where the melt-in-your-mouth rich cheesecake finally comforted my wounded soul. After finishing our meal, we realized that there was such a long line outside the door. Next up was the early arrival of shopping time...

Ask the clerk of the vending car, I learned that the road to Ke'anae Peninsula is just a little ahead (17 miles away). This is a three-way intersection. When I came, I missed it because I took the main road. 'From the intersection of Hana Road, you can see many cars parked here at a glance. This place was almost completely destroyed by a tsunami in 1946, which shows how fierce the waves are here. The wind and waves are definitely bigger than Hookipa, and you can take pictures standing very close to the waves without being afraid of being swept into the sea. When the strong wind and waves hit the cliffs, the roar they make makes you feel like all other sounds in the world are quiet, definitely unforgettable for a lifetime!' This is a paragraph in the strategy, and as soon as I came down, I knew we had found the right place! The four words echoing in my mind are 'the sound of waves hitting the shore.' Looking at the photos, you can't feel the majestic momentum here anyway. The huge waves are higher than one after another, and the sound of the waves is like a tiger's roar, hitting the dark volcanic rocks. There are few tourists, and in the end, it seems that only the two of us are left posing for selfies under a crooked tree. Here's a panoramic view, a bit desolate under the overcast sky... After leaving the Hana Road, it feels sunny again. At sunset, I arrived at Ho'okipa Beach Park, where there are many surfers. It's really enviable to see them surfing with such grace.

In the afternoon, walking along the Maoyi West Line from Kihei to the south, this is the wealthy area of the island, with multiple top hotels and golf courses located here. The coastal road is shaded by green trees on both sides, with beautiful scenery and fewer people, making it more refreshing than the northwest direction. The big beach (Makena State Park) at the southwest corner of Maoyi is known as the No. 1 beach in Maoyi and is the most beautiful beach to watch the sunset. The enthusiastic tour guide also told us that the sand here is golden, and it is indeed well-deserved! The crescent-shaped reef opposite is the Monokini atoll where we went snorkeling the day before, and as the colors of the sunset change from gold to pink, it is truly breathtaking. At sunset, the sand of Long Beach is indeed golden! The small island on the right is Molokini. At sunset, my husband is the only swimmer.

KO restaurant brings together the cuisines of Hawaii, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries. The sushi is delicious. Lobster. Finally, I don't have to get up early, I slept in and had breakfast on the huge balcony of the room. The golf course at the hotel entrance. For the first time in four days, I enjoyed a leisurely half day. Although reluctant, it is finally time to say goodbye. Summarizing the itinerary of MAUI, it was too tight and more like a trip than a vacation. Next time, I must enjoy the sunshine and beach to the fullest, and not rush around.

LahainaAfter getting off the cruise, drive to Lahaina, an ancient whaling town. As the strategy describes, the road to Lahaina is also a mountain road with 108 bends, basically single-lane, but more crowded than the road to Hana, with many extended large trucks, which can be a bit nerve-wracking to drive. But the scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful, basically driving along the coastline, with the vast blue sea on one side, and the view is breathtaking. There are convenient scenic spots to park every so often along the way, making it easy to stop and admire the beautiful scenery. After passing through the town of Lahaina, head to the north coast for a visit. This is Napili Beach, with clear, emerald green waters, no less beautiful than the Maldives! Even though we spent the whole morning snorkeling, we couldn't resist taking a swim in the sea. There are many resorts here, and chatting with foreigners, it seems that for them, coming to Maui means staying at a resort, swimming in the sea, and sunbathing on the beach, without even knowing that Maui has volcanoes, Molokini, and the road to Hana. But such days seem to be more enviable, leisurely and carefree. Next time, I'll do the same as them when I come back.

The sun is coming out, giving the clouds a golden edge, a bit like molten lava... Visitors who can't stand the cold can watch the sunrise through the glass at the visitor center. A unique plant called silver sword grows on the mountaintop of Haleakalā, resembling the surface of the moon. Due to the cold and oxygen-deficient environment, the growth of silver sword is very slow, taking about 20 years to flower. After flowering and seeding, it will turn into ashes. This is a magical plant that can only be seen on the top of Haleakalā. The flowering silver sword.

The road to Hawaii is bumpy, but worth it. Originally scheduled for departure during the Spring Festival this year, the trip was unable to proceed due to extremely special reasons related to the company. The entire trip was booked on Priceline and non-refundable, so I thought I would suffer heavy losses. However, to my surprise, the Americans are still easy to talk to. After my pitiful pleading and explanation, Priceline helped me communicate with several hotels and they all fully refunded me. Unfortunately, the same luck did not apply to the flight tickets, with a change fee of 2000 yuan per person and only allowed within a year. Therefore, I had to postpone the trip to the last deadline in mid-November, missing the opportunity to see the whales. I vividly remember a high school English teacher talking about her experience traveling the world in class. When we asked her where she thought the most beautiful place in the world was, she firmly answered: Hawaii. Many years later, after the Spring Festival delay, I finally fulfilled my dream of going to Hawaii! We flew with Japan Airlines and transferred at Tokyo Narita Airport. I had previously transferred at Incheon Airport in Seoul several times, and in comparison, Narita Airport is much smaller! The airport is full of rice cookers, which Chinese people love, but there are not many toilet seat covers. Japanese snacks are really lovable and delicious, such as chocolate potato chips and cheese cake that doesn't melt. The TOTO showroom in Narita Airport's luxurious bathroom is where we washed up during the transfer. The facilities are too advanced. While waiting, we had a bowl of ramen first. This restaurant will also be featured on the return journey. Although Narita Airport is not large, the rest area facilities are very comfortable, with charging stations in the compartments. The Japanese people's discipline is truly impressive. Throughout the entire flight, the cabin was so quiet, including the children. How can they be so well-behaved? Japan Airlines' service deserves praise, and the meals are also very rich. After 3 hours of flying, 5 hours of transfer, and 8 hours of flying, we finally arrived at Honolulu Airport!

After the trip to Haleakalā volcano for sunrise viewing ended and returned to the hotel at 11 o'clock, packed up and bid farewell to the Maui Hill hotel where I stayed for three nights, and headed to Wailea-Makena to check in at The Fairmont Kea Lani. There are three top hotels in the Wailea area, Fairmont, Four Seasons, and Grand Wailea, all connected. The Fairmont hotel was designed by Spanish designer Jose Luis Ezquerra, an authority on Middle Eastern and Mediterranean architectural art. From the arched dome, central courtyard, and curved lines of the exterior walls, you can see a bit of Gaudí's shadow. The entire resort's milky white color is taken from the Kea Lani beach (paradise-like pure white), which also signifies white plumeria flowers. Unlike hotels in Sanya that have exclusive beaches, the beaches in front of the major resorts in MAUI are also open to the public. The hotel gave a lei at check-in, but the author had already been sunburned to this color. Changed into a skirt and started posing wildly.

Pearl HarborWhen I woke up in the morning and looked out the window, it was raining... sigh, in this kind of weather, going to the beach is really not a good choice. So I discussed with my husband and decided to change course to Pearl Harbor. The eldest son of the protagonist's family in the World War II epic novel 'War and Storm' served as a naval aviator in Hawaii. When we flew to Hawaii on a Japanese plane, I couldn't help but feel strange, not knowing what the Japanese people's feelings were when they came to Hawaii. For some reason, the GPS repeatedly led us the wrong way on the road to Pearl Harbor, making us go around in circles. The most ridiculous time was when we ended up on a mountain highway and drove for more than half an hour in the mountains before finding an exit to turn back. It was as if the United States had hidden Pearl Harbor on the GPS after that painful lesson. When we restarted the GPS on a temporary parking strip on the highway, a patrol car stopped, and an uncle walked over to our car, making me nervous, thinking about the strategies for dealing with the police that I had read online. The uncle came over and kindly asked if we had any trouble or needed help. We quickly explained that we were just lost and trying to find our way. When we set the GPS and were ready to leave, we found that the cars on the road were driving too fast and the traffic was dense, and I had no chance to merge with my driving skills. At this point, the lovely uncle drove his patrol car onto the main road, blocking the cars behind us and letting me go first. What a good person, I was so touched! If we had followed the GPS instructions, we still wouldn't have reached Pearl Harbor. In the end, we followed the road signs and finally arrived. The 'World War II Valor in Pacific National Monument' is actually a theme park, including the most famous iconic building, the 'USS Arizona Memorial', the 'USS Bowfin Submarine Museum' parked in the scenic area, the 'USS Missouri Battleship Memorial' moored at Ford Island Pier, and the 'Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor' on Ford Island. Except for the USS Arizona Memorial, which is free, the other museums in the park charge admission. Tickets for the USS Arizona Memorial are first come, first served, and there is a limit to the number of people each day. We arrived around 10 o'clock and got tickets for 12:30.The white building across from us is the USS Arizona Memorial, which requires a boat to reach. The large lawn is adorned with the solemn style of the entire parkSculpture - Tree of Life

Returning to Lahaina Town, it's so lively here! After searching for a long time, we finally found the famous Banyan Tree Park: the history of the big banyan tree can be traced back to 1873, and now it has become a forest on its own, very spectacular. The streets of Lahaina are narrow and crowded with cars, and it's hard to find parking spaces. We were almost about to give up after turning around several times, when we found a parking lot in a small alley, and it was free. Just outside is the Banyan Tree Park! Around the Banyan Tree Park, there are many historical buildings, museums, and the remnants of the old Lahaina Courthouse, which introduce the history of Lahaina. The most prosperous Front Street is the main axis of Lahaina, with numerous shops and restaurants. Considering the many winding roads on the way back, walking at night is really a challenge for me, so I just wandered around casually, ate some hot dogs and ice cream, and gave up on dinner in Lahaina. The roads on both sides of Lahaina are lined with big banyan trees, very beautiful. At sunset, we happened to arrive at the beach where we had stayed before, so let's enjoy the sunset here.

The first impression of HonoluluIt is indeed convenient to rent a car in the United States, and the entire return process takes no more than 5 minutes. Park thereWalk away! Still took the island air propeller plane, this time the whole journey was unbelievably smooth, it seems that they can give their family a good name! Arriving at Honolulu Airport, it was still Hertz car rental. It is estimated that they saw my car rental record in Maui, and I got the car extremely quickly without any promotion. As soon as I left the airport, I was shocked by the traffic jam, as if I had returned to Beijing! From the airport, it was jammed all the way to Waikiki, worse than the second ring road during the evening rush hour! Suddenly felt like a world of difference compared to Maui! Stayed at the Royal Garden at Waikiki hotel, walking to Waikiki BeachIt takes about 10 minutes, passing through a large park. The hotel is even closer to the busiest commercial street in Waikiki, and the cost performance is still quite high. Parking in the Waikiki area is notoriously difficult, so we decided to indulge and enjoy the hotel's valet parking service. Although it costs $30 a day, the feeling of parking the car at the hotel's entrance and walking away is still very coolIf it weren't for the traffic jam, we could have seen the sunset at Waikiki Beach, but we were a little late... It feels a bit like SanyaThe night in the Waikiki commercial district is extremely lively. Following Yelp's guidance, we came to this highly rated Japanese restaurant, yummy! The fried pork cutlet is so deliciousThe hotel is right next to the busiest commercial street

The Road to Hana The strategy says that it is best to go to the Road to Hana early to prevent traffic jams. I originally wanted to get up at 6 o'clock, but due to jet lag, I woke up at 2 o'clock. I didn't fall asleep until dawn, and when I opened my eyes, it was already 7:30. I didn't rush, I cooked breakfast in the sun-filled living room and then had breakfast. After eating and drinking enough, bring lunch and set off! This is the only chance to see the hotel during the day, and it's beautiful! As soon as I left the hotel gate, I saw such a blue sea On such a day with blue sky and white clouds, driving on the almost car-free flat road (where is the traffic jam, where is it, hehe, it's good to travel in the off-season), let me, a novice female driver, also experience the fun of driving! After passing through the town of Paia, pay attention to the ship in the left front, which is the place where we have already booked dinner tonight in China, the restaurant called Mama's fish house, which is known as the No. 1 restaurant on Maui Island. (Of course, I didn't notice this detail at all during the driving process, and I found it when I organized the photos) Drive to the Road to Hana! There is basically no signal on the Road to Hana (AT&T), and the mobile phone GOOGLE MAP is useless, and the TOMTOM navigator cannot find the scenic spots. No wonder the strategy has detailed mileage markings. The Road to Hana has mileage markings from the starting point, so it is most reliable to find scenic spots by looking at the mileage markings all the way! The first parking spot, all kinds of blue Continue on, no cars at all, so cool! The first official scenic spot, twinfalls, is located at the 2-mile mark. However, for people from the mainland, it is unbearable that the Hawaiians call this small pool a falls Take a picture of it But the foreigners are having a great time! Isn't this candid shot good? Continue along the Road to Hana with more than 1,200 turns, I turn, turn, and turn, the more proficient I drive, of course, thanks to today's road conditions, no cars on the opposite side, and no pressure to press the double yellow line. Hey, isn't this the legendary rainbow eucalyptus unique to Hawaii? Find a place to park. "This tree is called "peeling eucalyptus" (Eucalyptus deglupta), which is the only eucalyptus tree found in the northern hemisphere. This tree, which can reach a height of 70 meters, is known for its colorful colors in the tree family. Its bark has many colors such as yellow, green, orange, and even purple. The name "rainbow" is derived from this unique feature. This different color phenomenon is due to the shedding of the bark at different times. Different colors represent different ages of the bark. The newly shed outer skin is replaced by bright green inner skin. As time goes by, the color of the bark gradually darkens, from blue to purple, and then to orange and chestnut." It's really wonderful, isn't it? Growing in the Rainbow State, it complements each other

In waiting time, you can first visit the exhibition, review the shocking and sad history. You must rent an interpreter here, follow the route and numbers on the map, and visit and listen to the explanation in order. The kamikaze fighter of Japan, the earliest radar, had already detected the formation of Japanese aircraft on this radar at that time, but unfortunately the officer on duty mistakenly thought it was American military aircraft flying from California and did not take it seriously. The visiting ticket indicates that you need to queue at the door of the theater 5 minutes in advance according to the time, watch a 20-minute film introducing the history of World War II before and after the Pearl Harbor incident, and then take a shuttle boat from the theater exit to the Arizona Memorial. 1177 soldiers and the USS Arizona are forever under the sea below the memorial. There is still floating oil on the sea surface. Commemorating the war is not for generational hatred, but to pray for world peace! Due to time constraints, only visited the USS Arizona Memorial, left Pearl Harbor and went to Diamond Head, which I didn't have time to visit yesterday.
