That translation document is basically useless. I used a domestic notarized document. Generally speaking, if there is an accident, it is easier to obtain insurance compensation with a domestic notarized document, because for Road trip in France, the notarized document provided must be authenticated by the French consulate, otherwise it is not possible to obtain insurance compensation. Those so-called translation documents in China are not very reliable. For safety reasons, I suggest you still get a notarized certificate of your driver's license. The validity period of the notarized certificate is the same as that of your driver's license.
