Can I rent a car in Naples and drive to Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi without passing through ZTL? Are local rentals exempt from ZTL restrictions ?

The Amalfi Coast has a bit of a ZTL area in each town, and if you stay on the main road you won't enter.

Sorrento has a historic city center, depending on where your hotel is booked. The Amalfi Drive is very narrow, and there are often rows of cars parked on the side of the road, so it's best to rent a small car.
