What Wi-Fi? The mobile signal is pretty good. There's either 3G or 4G coverage. Both giffgaff and Three mobile phone cards work.

Sure, I can use my Gf card all the way. There's no problem in the highland lake area. Google Maps can still navigate even if there's no signal as long as it doesn't exit.
