Do you have to pay tolls on highways in Spain? How is the toll collected and do you need to take a card at the tollgate ?

In Madrid, there are no tolls in the south, and the toll booths are mostly unmanned. You take a ticket, pay the fee by inserting the ticket, and then pay with a card.

Just follow the prompts based on my photos. It's very convenient.

Highway is toll, Ap is highway, the rest are not, but you can't feel the difference between highway and ordinary road, there are some areas with toll stations, basically it's one to two euros, and there are not many! We just followed Google navigation, the toll on the highway is not much, about 20 euros each time

Charging. Have a card. Have automatic charging. Most are automatic charging. Deduct from credit card. It is best to use a Visa or MasterCard.

When entering the toll station and taking the card, be careful not to take the wrong exit. Some entrances are dedicated lanes for ETC vehicles, with a T-shaped symbol above the entrance.
