Is parking convenient in Chiang Mai old town? For example, can you park in the temple parking lot and then go out to stroll around the Sunday night market ?

Same as in China, it's best if there's a parking lot. If there isn't, just park in some small alleys to your destination, or follow others who have parked. I didn't see any parking tickets during my 4-day Road trip in Chiang Mai.

There are parking lots, with 1 hour parking for 10 yuan or 20 yuan. It depends on which one you want to park. There are also tiered pricing and pay-per-use options, with 200 yuan per use.
