10 days with 1000 RMB still not spent. Tipping is done by card there. The magnetic stripe is fine.

Must have chip credit cards, can be used anywhere, tolls, parking fees, etc. Don't need too much cash, it's not safe, one chip visa, one UnionPay, enough.

Around 2000 euros is enough, no need for a chip card. Magnetic stripe card is acceptable. Most of my cash is used for shopping, supermarkets, and restaurants (convenient for tipping).
