If you pick up the car at Phuket Airport and it's after 9pm, it's better to come the next day. I arrived at the airport at 1am and all the car rental companies were closed. I had to take a taxi to the hotel and then go back to the airport the next morning to pick up the car. When I asked the staff at the car rental company, they said they were open until 11pm, so it was my mistake for missing the flight.
