Just want to ask, when is it getting dark in Finland and Norway at the end of January and beginning of February? Is it safe to drive after dark ?

It gets dark at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The road conditions from Finland to Norway are good, and driving at night is fine. Try to fill up your tank within Finland, as the price of fuel is much higher in Norway. Rovaniemi is extremely commercialized, so you should be prepared for it. Are you going to North Cape? I'm here right now, in a blizzard with poor visibility, basically driving blindly. The wind on the coast is too strong, and the snowflakes are flying around, affecting visibility. The road was closed last night, so you should check the website before you leave, or you'll delay your trip. It's extremely beautiful when it's not snowing. You'll be amazed.
