I don't use a wireless router, I use an AT&T unlimited data card (without phone calls), and it works very well. My other card is a T-MOBILE 3G data card with phone calls. I use Google Maps every day in the city and it works fine. When I encountered a shared scooter deposit refund, I relied on the card that can make phone calls to communicate with them. So it depends on your own needs.
