The Horseshoe Bend is breathtaking, yet also tranquil. Below the 1000-foot cliffs, the green Colorado River winds around the red horseshoe-shaped rock, flowing calmly and majestically through a 270-degree turn. Standing at the edge of the cliff, overlooking the 300-meter drop to the Colorado River, I was almost in tears. Not out of fear, but out of awe. Nature is truly amazing.
Last year in early October, I also went to Monument Valley. I had planned to drive from Page to catch the sunset and had checked the sunset time in advance. But I didn't realize there was a one-hour time difference between there and Page. By the time I arrived at the hotel, the sun had already set, which was really disappointing...
