Xiangbi Mountain is famous for its magic. Its magic lies firstly in that it resembles an elephant's trunk, and secondly in that it creates a round moon-like scenery between the trunk and legs, forming the unique spectacle of "Xiangshan Shuiyue" (elephant trunk hill and water moon). Therefore, Xiangbi Mountain is the emblematic mountain of Guilin and the iconic mountain of Guilin's tourism. It is situated at the confluence of Lijiang River and Taohua River in the downtown of Guilin, resembling a huge elephant with a circular hole about 150 square meters between the trunk and legs, through which river water flows and the bright moon appears. The Xiangshan Shuiyue on the west bank faces against the Chuanyue Rock on the east bank of the Lijiang River, one hanging high above the sky, and the other floating in the river, forming a unique landscape of "double moons over the Lijiang River."

The Nanling Mountains where Longsheng is located saw the emergence of primitive cultivation of glutinous rice 6000 to 12000 years ago, making it one of the birthplaces of artificial cultivated rice in the world. The terrace farming method had already formed in Longsheng during the Qin and Han dynasties. During the Tang and Song dynasties, Longsheng's terrace farming was extensively developed, and during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it basically reached its current scale. The Longsheng terraced fields have a history of at least 2300 years and are known as the origin of terraced fields in the world.

Huangluoya Village is known as the "First Long Hair Village in the World" with over 60 women in the village having jet-black hair measuring over one meter long, with the longest hair reaching 2.1 meters. One part of it is in Meixi Township, Resources County, Guilin City, Guangxi Province, while it can also be entered from the ManShan Scenic Area in Xinning County, Shaoyang, Hunan Province. Although the ManShan Scenic Area is large, the BaJiaoZhai is the core scenic area of the ManShan Scenic Area.

Baguazhai Scenic Area

Bajiaozhai, also known as Yuntai Mountain, is located at an altitude of 818 meters on the border between Hunan and Guangxi provinces, belonging to Ziyuan County, Guangxi. It is a rare Danxia landform in China and even the world, known as the "soul of Danxia". The rock formations here all tilt in a similar direction at an angle of about 45 degrees, creating a unique and stunning landscape. When the cliffs are surrounded by white clouds and the mist gently brushes against the pine trees, the rock formations appear undulating, like whales playing and frolicking in the sea.
