What is the most famous terrace in Guizhou? 90% of people will answer this question. The terraces here have a maximum area of ​​only one acre due to the fluctuations of the mountains. They are hidden under the moonlight and surrounded by clouds and mist throughout the year. They are unique cloud terraces in the world. Built along the mountains, they are magnificent and elegant. The villages and terrace environment complement each other and blend with nature. In addition, the terraces are adjacent to the Jiache River, with abundant rainfall throughout the year. Regardless of the seasons, every morning, clouds and mist drift from the riverside. These beautiful terraces, together with the Miao village hanging houses on the terraces, are enveloped in clouds and mist. From a distance, those faintly visible hanging houses are ethereal and dreamy, giving people the illusion of being in a fantasy world.

Tang'an Terrace Fields

Tang'an Terraces does not have much elegance and grandeur in its construction and maintenance. It is barren and has been cultivated year after year by the Dong ethnic minority. Baoyuan Terraces are located 30 kilometers away from Chishui city. It is a high-quality terraced landscape with a length of 4 to 5 kilometers and a width of 0.8 to 1 kilometer. Each piece of terrace has an average area of 3 to 4 fen, making it one of the few neatly arranged terraces in Guizhou. The total area of the terraces is approximately 1500 mu. It has a beautiful and endless view of green terraces, with a history of over 1,900 years since its development in the Eastern Han Dynasty and formation in the late Ming Dynasty.

Gaoyao terraced fields

Gaoyao Terrace is exquisite and beautiful, although it is not as majestic as the Gabang Terrace. Due to its advantageous geographical location, it has always been at the forefront of the photography trend of Guizhou Terraces. Gaoyao Village is only 8 kilometers away from Danzhai County, 80 kilometers away from the capital of Qiandongnan Prefecture, Kaili, and 190 kilometers away from the provincial capital, Guiyang. When driving on the Xiarong Expressway, you can directly enjoy the beautiful terrace scenery. After passing through Kaili, you can also visit the Xijiang Miao Village.
