There are many people at the Chengdu Panda Base, but it's much better than popular attractions in Chengdu like Wuhou Temple, Jinli, and Chunxi Road. The transportation is also more convenient. Little pandas are not afraid of people and can be observed up close. Giant pandas, on the other hand, are more aloof and like to sleep in, so they tend to hide and nap when there's any commotion. Because they're more aggressive, the enclosure is also further away, making them harder to observe up close. Visiting baby pandas is quite a hassle, as you have to wait in line for a long time just to catch a glimpse. You're not allowed to stay and the most you can do is take a quick photo and leave.
