Freo, the birthplace of Perth, is located 20 kilometers south of the city center. This small town preserves some 19th-century architecture and is a gathering place for artists. Transportation
The quickest and most convenient way is to take the train, Fremantle line to the final station, walk south for about 1.5 kilometers, or take bus 530 from the train station towards Cockburn Central Station and get off at the next stop. Bus 107 or 102 from the city center can also reach Fremantle, but takes longer time.
