Introduction

Located in the beautiful Inner Harbour of Victoria, the museum presents the natural and human history of British Columbia and its First Nations through unique exhibits and galleries. With over one million items, the exhibits include fascinating displays of the Ice Age, old town, and coast models. The museum has three floors, with the First People Gallery on the third floor showcasing Indigenous history and recent museum history from 1718 to the 1970s. The second floor is themed after the natural environment of British Columbia, displaying ecological changes from the end of the Ice Age to modern times. The first floor features the world-renowned National Geographic IMAX theatre, offering visitors an immersive experience of National Geographic's stunning visuals. In addition, the gift shop sells a variety of British Columbia-related merchandise, allowing visitors to take precious memories home with them.
