In 2014, the Australian website "Australian News" created a list of the "Top 10 Snowy Countries in the World" based on temperature. Apart from two places in Antarctica, the list includes three places in Russia, one in Greenland, one in Alaska, and three places in Canada. The starting temperature for the list is minus 61 degrees Celsius, and the places on the list must be inhabited. While ice and snow are abundant in these places, it's hard to imagine exciting winter activities in such cold locations. However, British Columbia is different. Stewart Park

Stuart Park is located on the picturesque Okanagan Lake in downtown Kelowna. This year marks the 15th year that Stuart Park's outdoor ice rink has been open to the public for free. The public can enjoy skating here from 6 am to 11 pm every day. Apex Mountain Resort

Apex Mountain Resort is located 33 kilometers southwest of Penticton in the South Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada. Robson Square's Ice Rink is an outdoor ice skating rink in downtown Vancouver. It is open to the public for free from early December to the end of February each year. The specific hours are from 9am to 9pm from Sunday to Thursday, and until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Snacks and hot drinks are available for purchase at the rink, and ice skates can be rented on site for just $4 CAD per pair, with safety helmets provided for children.
