Introduction

The Royal Canadian Mint, which is under the jurisdiction of the federal government, was founded in 1908 and is located in a historic building in the center of Ottawa. Today, the headquarters is used to produce various handmade collectibles, commemorative coins, gold jewelry, medals, and insignia. The Royal Canadian Mint has a complete coinage system, from design to mold making and coin casting, which is all done in-house. Here, high-precision sampling techniques and gold refining technologies are deeply applied, and production equipment and engineering technologies are also at the forefront of the industry.
