Introduction

Baishi Town is famous for its landmark "Baishi", surrounded by the sea on three sides, located in a place blessed by nature. The north is a steep mountain slope, the south is a tranquil bay, and the houses are built on the mountainside, allowing people to fully enjoy the sunshine. The tall Olympia Mountains in Washington State block the Pacific airflow, resulting in a mild climate in the bay. It is said that the huge white stone is a sediment of the glacial period, but some people say it fell from the sky tens of thousands of years ago. If this were China, there would be legends like Nüwa Mending the Sky. In 1791, the Spaniards first discovered this huge stone and viewed it as a navigational target. In order to make it visible even in bad weather, the local fishermen painted it white and added phosphorus to make it shine at night. In addition to the beach waves and the shadow of Baifan Mountain, the most special place in Baishi Town is the boardwalk. This 480-meter long and 8-meter wide wooden walkway extends into the sea and has been permanently built. The boardwalk is for leisure, sightseeing, and taking photos for tourists. When we walk to the end of the boardwalk, we can see the endless sea, and the railway extends along the seaside into a beautiful ninety-degree geometric shape. The boardwalk, the sea, and the distant sailboats form a charming view.
