Introduction

The Empire Square consists of several square groups, including the Augustus Square and Trajan Square. The design approach is mainly vertically arranged, connecting various spaces through colonnades to form internal order. The Augustus Square celebrates Augustus' victory over his rival Proetus in the Battle of 41 BC. The Trajan Market is a comprehensive market with 150 shops and offices selling various goods. The Trajan Column was built in 113 AD to celebrate the victories of Emperor Trajan in two battles. It is 40 meters high and depicts the stories of the battles in relief form. The Arch of Constantinople was built to celebrate Constantine's victory over Maxentius in 312 AD. The decorations were mostly collected from previous monuments. The Knights of Rhodes House is a 12th-century monastery belonging to the Crusader Knights of Rhodes, including a porch, shops, and the Saint John's Chapel.
