Introduction

Arahova town is located on Mount Parnassus, 960 meters above sea level, only 12 kilometers from Delphi, and can be reached by car in just 10 minutes. According to Greek mythology, Mount Parnassus is a sacred mountain where the sun god Apollo and the Muses live. On the southern slopes of Delphi is the famous Apollo Temple. Arahova town is a small town on the way from Athens to Delphi. The town is located in a remote area and has only one main road. The main road is lined with shops, restaurants, and hotels, as well as basic facilities such as banks and post offices. In addition to winding alleyways, a sight in Arahova town is the Saint George Church on the high ground, which requires climbing 263 steps to reach.
