Introduction

In the history of Santorini Island, there have been multiple volcanic eruptions, with the most severe one occurring in 1500 BC, which resulted in the current crescent-shaped landscape of the island. Currently, during the summer, there are daily boat trips to the volcano on the island of Kamari, and travel agencies organize Kamari Island volcano tour routes, including volcano landing, hot springs swimming, dining on Thirasia Island, and ending with sunset viewing. Tourists can choose different routes according to their own needs, and the prices vary accordingly. Vessels can depart from the Santorini pier or the old pier, and the old pier can be reached by cable car or donkey ride from the town of Fira, or by walking down, which takes about 40 minutes.
