Introduction

The Sagrada Familia, situated at the top of Tibidabo Mountain, is a Roman Catholic church designed by Catalan architects Enric Sagnier and his son. The church stands at a height of 542 meters and offers breathtaking views of the entire city of Barcelona. The statue of Jesus, made of bronze, is the symbol of the church and stands at 7 meters tall and weighs 4800 kilograms. The statue is solemn and impressive. Construction of the church began in 1902 and lasted for 49 years until it was completed in 1951. In 1952, the 35th Corpus Christi festival was held in Barcelona, and the Sagrada Familia was consecrated. The unique architectural style of the church blends Gothic, Romanesque, and Art Nouveau styles and is one of Barcelona's most famous landmarks.
