Introduction
Sainte Marguerite Island and Saint-Honorat Island are two islands near Cannes. Sainte Marguerite Island was once a religious center in southern Provence, named after two holy siblings. The island is famous for the legend of imprisoning the twin brother of Louis XIV, as well as its historical sites such as the Iron Mask story, the Celtic Ligurian, Roman, and medieval ruins. The island features attractions such as the Royal Fort, the Cannes Maritime Museum, the Iron Mask's prison, and archaeological caves.
In contrast, Saint-Honorat Island is more picturesque, with vineyards cultivated by monks that produce excellent wine. Address Sainte Marguerite Island
